The client brief was to re-configure and restore the original north facing Calafornian Bungalow. The unsympathetic rear extension, which was elevated from the yard and dark, was to be demolished and replaced with a new rear extension ( including a swimming pool) to capture the northern sun and provide a relationship to the rear garden.
